Your destination airport should be José Martí (La Habana). Here, you will find, among other things, duty-free-shops, exchange offices, car rental services and telephones. Taxis and busses are in front of the airport building.
If you have reserved accommodation with us, the address of your hotel / guest house will be stated on your voucher. This is your address in Cuba which you must state in your VISA / tourist card.
Nearly all airlines have now changed to non-smoking flights. Important for packing: when booking a regular flight, you are allowed to take two pieces of luggage of 20 kg. You are, of course, also allowed to take sporting gear with you like for example: golf-club, diving gear or bike. However, you will have to declare it as „special luggage“ declaring all measurements and weight directly when booking!
If you have booked a transfer: Our employees will welcome you at the destination airport in the arrival hall. Please pay attention to a Sprachcaffe sign or your name on arrival. We kindly ask you to inform us about your arrival time four days in advance at the latest. In case of delays, we kindly ask you for your patience.
If you did not book a transfer: The first address after the arrival in La Habana is written in your voucher. We recommend to take a taxi from the airport . This trip should cost no more than US$ 25 in one of the new tourist taxis based at the airport, or US$ 20 in an older yellow-and-black Lada taxi (ask the taxi driver for the exact price before you get into the taxi). Due to overload and technical problems the public transport is not reliable.
